WORKSHOPS SHOWCASE HOW TO BOOST JOB SATISFACTION
WHAT: The Arizona Department of Commerce continues to report staggering job losses statewide
and the marketplace is getting increasingly competitive as people face stiff competition for jobs. Next
Saturday, University of Phoenix’s Hohokam Learning Center is hosting a series of community workshops to provide local
residents with practical tips on interview preparation, resume writing, stress management, utilizing the internet and social
media effectively in a job search, personal finance skills and professional development. Participants will experience
a customized self-assessment of their motivators for success and attributes for different occupations. Then, strategies for
career mobility that suit different lifestyles will be discussed. “University
of Phoenix is committed to preparing today's working adults to compete and thrive in a changing global economy,” said
David Fitzgerald, campus director of University of Phoenix’s Hohokam Learning Center. “Offering these free community
workshops is an extension of that commitment.”
